Who are the ‘others’?
First of all, they are the general public. It is essential we work together to raise the profile of social enterprises, shout loud and proud about the difference we make within our communities, making the concepts of social enterprise or buying social everyday terms.
Secondly, they are your current customers and potential investors. Being able to confirm to your customers that by buying from you allows them to also make a difference to their community can only strengthen their loyalty to you, attract new people to buy from you or invest in your enterprise.
The key thing is to make the message clear and simple. Don’t bamboozle them with data which looks fantastic, but to them makes no sense. The clearer the message, the more it resonates with your audience, the better it will be heard and, more importantly, the more likely it will be passed on.
